"How bitter are separation's sorrows!"
As the Assistant Director for Diane Paulus's The Magic Flute at the Canadian Opera Company, I was given the opportunity to stage the Ensemble Studio's performance of this production. Working with the COC's Ensemble Studio, Canada's premiere training program for young opera professionals, is always a highlight of my work at the COC, and I was very proud of my colleagues' performances. The Ensemble performed under the direction of COC Music Director Johannes Debus and performed with the full COC Orchestra and Chorus.
